What a Waste
I recently read that the average pigeon in NYC produces 25 lb of waste each year. With 1 million feather friends in the city, that's a lot of shit. The proposed fine for feeding? $1,000.
I guess the old woman standing on the corner of 14th and university didn't hear the news. She lured 9 pigeons with corn and watched them chow down with pleasure.
"You're bringing rats!" yelled out a man. "Stop feeding the pigeons!" He was walking with his wife and child and they all looked at her angrily.
The old lady turned and hissed, "You're a rat! They need food too!"
"No they don't. You're spreading disease!" said the man.
"You immigrant!" said the old woman. "You're a rat!" she repeated.
I watched the scene unfold while waiting in line at the Mudd coffee truck. Why the hell was she calling the man and his family immigrants? At least he wasn't contributing to the pigeon dropping plague in New York. Isn't it common knowledge that pigeons don't need to be fed ANYWAY? So much for trying to keep the streets poop free.

Ahhhh yes...one of the reasons I wont go to London anymore. Tourists, pigeons and poop. Great combination! Never thought of shouting at people though. Maybe I could carry 18 cats in a trolley and scream at people. The mad cat man from olde london town.
random stranger - OMG! If you do that, please call me first so that I can watch from afar and take photos! HILARIOUS!
See now I am tempted to get a load of stuffed animals and take a wander to London (I only live 30 mins train ride away!) and throw cats at people while shouting incoherently. The last photo should involve a police escort! But hey, worth the giggle regardless!
So worth it! Just sell me the rights to the story! =)
ha ha ha, too funny. i hate those birds, we need to find a way to just get rid of them, what good do they do anyway? ohhhh yeah!

Oscar - Yah, when I saw the woman I immediately thought of the old woman in the Mary Poppins movie, it seemed like a fun idea when I was a kid.
